An Angel Visit

There was a young man named Rya, who lived a boring life. He wanted to write his novel but didn't know what he wanted it to be about. Memories unraveled in his mind as he thought about his anima during class.

She was tall with long blonde hair, thin lips, and blue eyes. Her skin was like porcelain and she was fair like a queen. He remembered her as a thirteen-year-old when he was upset about not being smart enough. She seemed to be more than just an imaginary friend, but someone he could confer to and feel good. Sometimes he heard her speak and she told him her name. Her name was Sarah.

The first two weeks of college life was difficult and Rya hated it. He was a rebel and noticed the students and teachers judged him because he had long hair. He argued with his physics teacher, he argued with his computer one teacher and he talked back to a student who said he could reach through his mouth and grab his ponytail. The physics teacher was surprised to see how Rya could pick up a chair in an experiment.

He wanted to find his muse in writing and didn't care for college. He was young, with light brown hair, with deep blue eyes and broad lips.

Rya woke up in the morning depressed, just as he woke up tired the day before. There was the expectations that was brought to him since he was young. He did everything to make them happy and it seemed like it was only good until it wore off. Then he would have to do something else to make them proud. It was like taking drugs so you could feel good, but drugs wear off. Rya sat in class and couldn't wait for Saturday to come.

Saturday came and after work Rya drove to Walmart to meet his friend Robby so they could hang out at the casino. Robby was a friend and worked at a video store for a few months.

Rya walked into Wal-Mart and sat on a bench in the lay away section for Rob to meet him. A few minutes went by and a young woman walked in, looked around and sat down next to him. Rya looked at her briefly and assumed she was waiting for someone and continued to wait for his friend. After a few more minutes of being bored Rya pulled out a notebook and started writing. That's where it all started, in a notebook.

The woman was young with long black hair that was partially dyed blue halfway down the length of her hair, with black rimmed glasses. He could not see the color of her eyes when he looked at her briefly, but they were probably hazel.

“Excuse me, do you know what time it is?” she asked.
Rya turned his head to look at her and then his watch, “yeah, it’s about six o’clock.”
          “Who are you waiting for?”
          “My friend Rob,” Rya answered.
          “Is his name Rob Christensen
“I’m also waiting for Rob,” she smiled and continued. “How do you know him?”
“We know each other from high school.”
“My name is Krissy, Krissy Wolf, how do you do?” she introduced herself.
“Rya Finch” he answered and shook her hand.

Rya noticed something about her, something admiring, something inspiring. He looked at her eyes and could see she had brown eyes and her hair roots were brown. He was attracted to her immediately and smiled when she did.

“So, what do you like to do for fun?” she asked.
          “I like to write.”
“You mean write books and stuff?”
          “Yes,” he answered.
“That’s interesting, have you got anything published?” she asked
“No, not until I find my inspiration.”

They talked about their goals and what they wanted to do in their life. After an hour, Robby showed up and caught the end of the conversation.  She was interested in foreign languages and being an interpreter.

           “Hi,” said Robert.
“Oh hi,” they both said at once as they looked at each other and smiled.
“So, what’s going on?” said Rob slowly as he smiled.
“April wanted me to tell you that you forgot your CD’s at her house,” replied Krissy.
“Oh, I’ll pick them up tomorrow,” replied Rob.
“Ok” she said as she got up from the bench and turned to Rya.
“Well, it was nice to meet you,” she smiled and walked away.
After she left, Rob looked at Rya with a surprise, “wow, you two sure hit it off.”
“Yes, we did,” replied Rya with a smile.

Rob and Rya went to the Turtle Casino and met a guy who was a friend of Rob named Nick who everyone knew as Bug. They gambled for a few hours and had plenty to drink at the bar. It was Saturday night and all three were drunk and puked out their tacos. At about mid-night they took a taxi home and left their car back so they wouldn't' get nailed by the cops. When Rya hit the sack all he could think about was Krissy and how hot she was.

The next morning Rya woke up with a dry mouth. He looked at the clock to see it was one o'clock in the morning. He managed to forget most of the night but remembered from Rob that Krissy worked at Walmart and would be finished with her shift around four o'clock. He didn't have much time. He quickly cleaned up his room and took a shower.

He drove his car to Wal-Mart and pulled into a parking spot. He knew Rob was going to call him for a ride to pick up his car at the casino. He had no idea what department Krissy worked in but started with the women's clothing area. Then there she was, dressed in her blue vest and her hair down.

          “Hi,” she smiled.
“Hey,” he replied. “I was wondering if you would like to come back to my apartment?”
“Yeah, I get done in a half hour.”
“Ok, I can wait outside the store by the bench.”
“Ok,” she replied as she smiled at him.
